For you

Hey Chia!

OMG! That photo of us is so funny! I remember that night when we took on fake names when those really young guys came to talk to us! Oh... back in the day!

Welcome home!

I can't wait to hear your stories and see photos of your trip! I am happy to hear that you were able to recover your data! Nothing like losing photos and memorieeeesss!

I thought I'd do something a little risky... and a little embarrassing... just for you!

Thoughts of you

FUNNY?

So I got a new netbook because my old one ignited and fizzled. I could smell the insides burning :(

I had to pay £49 to get my data recovered :( That could have gone to something nice :( I scrolled through what was on the hard drive that I gave the man to save the data onto and looked through some Perth photo. I wish I had photos of Perth back from the uni days to look through this moment. Just a touch of nostalgia for my Friday night in.

Finally will get to upload my photos from Turkey to share with you.

Turkey to London and I'm home!

Dear Anna

Oh boy! I just got home about half an hour ago and I'm waiting for my pasta to be al dente. Strange after a week in Turkey, what I craved most when I got home was tomato base pasta! However I immediately dug into 4 pieces of delightful Turkish delight to stretch out my holiday a bit longer. I bought them in various flavours, not just the usual rose flavoured ones. When I upload some pics you will see for you rself :) If only I could post them back home.

I am also exhausted with fluctuating waves of emotions running high and low. On the flight back I watched various programmes that contributed to this madness. First I wanted to traverse across countries with friends or even do a road trip thanks to By Any Means, next I bawled my eyes out whilst watching We Bought a Zoo and also laughed out loud. Did not care that it was a full flight and foundation was rubbing off onto my cardi. Finally, I fell in love again with London after watching Megacities.

The love factor plummeted when peering from the window, all I could see was grey gloomy clouds a few minutes before touching down. Instantly, holiday blues kicked in. Hate. BUT I'm not going to complain because I had a wonderful time in Turkey. I definitely loved the peacefulness and landscape of Goreme, but Istanbul left me with new friends :)

I will blog with pictures soon!

WA Day

Hi Chia!

Your trip to Turkey sounds like it's going to be a blast! I can't wait to see photos of your adventures!

Will you have a 'Turkish Delight'? :)

I don't know too much about Turkey, but I am sure it is exotic and exciting!

Your summer days in London look fantabulous! And dates with Chrissy and Alex makes me wish I was there too! (not that I ever stop wishing I was there!).

Back here, we had our long weekend to celebrate our first ever WA Day. In the previous years, this holiday was called 'Fountation Day'. But it was decided to change the name because people did not understand what Foundation Day was.

So, this weekend Drew, Katie, Terry, Clem, Kev and I drove down to Busselton. It was a perfect weekend! It was exactly what I needed! It was low key, with people I love and just free and easy. We had lazy mornings, lazy afternoons and lazy nights. :)

Also, it's been a long long long time since we all have been on a trip together. We realized the last time was in 2007 when we went to Singapore! That's half a decade ago! My how time flies!!!! We ended up skyping Vanni who is in Hong Kong now, she had just woken up, and we all were still in our pjs. It was as if she were in Busselton with us.

Thanks to Katie and Drew for inviting us down to Busselton! The place that we stayed at was wonderful and I definitely hope we get to do it again sometime.

Hope your having fun planning your trip!

Neverending adventures... next destination: Turkey

Hi Anna

As you know, I am going to TURKEY on Tuesday! A few days ago I decided to spend the week break away from London. Good decision seeing that it has started raining again and will be grey for the next week.

I managed to get return flights to Istanbul for 150 pounds return and arriving back in London the following Tuesday. Initially I thought  about another city in Spain but eventually settled on Turkey. I think it's my love for all things unusual, adventure, chaos, exotic, bazaars, markets, delicious food (I'm hoping more hummus and falafel) that enticed me. Especially after having so much fun in Jordan, I think Turkey would be spectacular!

I'm excited about Istanbul, but more about Goreme. I will catch a short plane ride after three nights in Istanbul to Goreme, which is famous for it's rock formations. I've never even heard of the place a week ago, but once I read about it and saw the pictures, I knew I had to go there!!!

Fingers crossed the weather is great and I get to hop onto a hot air balloon and take some magnificent shots like these!

I won't be blogging because I'll be travelling light but I will definitely be updating on facebook and instagram.

Keep you posted!
